In order to submit your app to the Google Play Store, a so-called developer account is required. You have to set this up yourself at Google. The developer account is associated with a one-time cost of $25.
1. Create a Google account
To create a Google Play Developer Account, you first need to create a Google Account. You can set this up via the following link: https://accounts.google.com/signup.
Fill out the form and follow the next steps by clicking Next. Even if you already have a private Google Account, we recommend that you use a Google Business Account for the Developer Account.
2. Create the developer account using Google Play Console
After creating the Google Account, please go to the Google Play Console. This is the platform where you create your Google Play Developer Account in order to publish Android apps. You can reach the Google Play Console via this link: https://play.google.com/apps/publish/signup/#.
Fill out the form accordingly. All fields declared with an asterisk are required. In addition, Google requires that you agree to the terms of use. To do so, please activate the displayed checkboxes under Agreement and Terms of Use for Developers. Then click the Create account and pay button.
In the next step, a payment method must be defined. To do this, fill in all the required data and follow the further instructions.
Done! With this step-by-step guide, you'll create your Google Developer account in no time.
